Steve Fernandez has been a professional Latin Dance instructor for almost 10 years now. His career started back in 2006 when he was successful in joining the Carnival Cruise Line empire and was employed as a professional dancer onboard the MS Holiday for two years. He has taught for several schools around Sydney and has also had the privilege to have been taught by Fernando Providel, Becky Lee and Oliver Pineda. Apart from teaching, Steve has also competed internationally and placed 8th in the world in 2010. Even though he has won several competitions within New South Wales, including interstate competitions, Steve still enjoys teaching and pours his knowledge out onto those who are eager to get started and learn how to swing their hips to the sexy rhythms of Latin dance.
Steve’s classes which are held at Latin Dance House encourage those first starting out or for those who are wanting to accelerate their skills as a dancer in a super fun and easy to learn environment. What you learn from Steve’s classes is how to be able to dance with anyone in the world in any nightclub to any style of Latin dance. Steve’s classes are a good laugh and with an easy going, laid back but also informative and precise attitude style of atmosphere that is unique to him. You will see why everyone loves to learn from him and continue to seek him out. Take full advantage of the workshop that he will be teaching at this year’s Festival De Ritmo Festival.
